This years service is again at the Airman Statue at 11 am followed by cross laying at the Cemetery

September 6th Thornaby Show
The annual Thornaby Show is on at the Harold Wilson Sports Field. Flowers and Veg, Homecrafts and Handicrafts , fair rides and many more attractions. Starts 10 am.

August 30th 2009 Stockton Triathlon
Stockton Triathlon swim is on the Tees around the University area, the cycle race goes through Teesdale into Stockton Riverside Road then back over Victoria Bridge through Thornaby and down Stockton Road to the TA Centre area then back up onto A66 slip road over to Teesdale and the Barrage. Run is along the banks of the Tees and around Teesdale.

Thornaby Yorkshire Day is held this year on the Linear Park between Baysdale Rd. and Pickering Road.

July 23rd 2009 VPRA/Tristar Fun Day
Held in the Village Park, from 11 till 3. 5 a side, stalls, games plus the official opening of the new Muga and Play Trail.

Another route goes along the edge of the housing overlooking the A19 or yet another goes to Village Park. Tend to vary or routes to suit the walkers and to prevent using the same route week after week, if a walker know a different route we are always willing to try and one. All of the routes are about 1 1/2 to 2 miles long and take about 45 minutes, they are all paved and are mostly flat. There is no need to book simply turn up dressed for the weather.

June 13th 2009 Victoria Park Community Hall.
Thornaby Asian Ladies Prayer Group are holding a charity food sale in the Victoria Park Community Hall (formerly the Old People's Welfare Hall,) Peel Street, from 10 am till 4 pm, on Saturday 13th of June with the very finest of Asian cuisine available to everyone. This is an excellent opportunity to savour authentic Asian cooking freshly made with finest ingredients. This is not the stuff you buy off the shelf and micro wave. All monies raised will go to charity. Remember! if you go along you will be supporting both this worthy cause and the Victoria Park Community Hall. TS17 Gazette Report
