Rock-it Ball World Championships. 3/6 2007.

Thornaby was the host for the very first Rock-it Ball World Championships.

It was held in the Pavilion and contested by teams representing England, Scotland, Pakistan and India.  The eventual winners were Scotland followed by Pakistan. England and India.

From Hangers to Houses.  3/4/2007

The old airfield is now beginning to take shape with the first of the new Wimpey Homes going up on the site of the historic old C type hanger.

The re development of the town centre has finally got underway. The first section of the centre to be demolished has been fenced off ready for the demolition crews.
