The Teesdale area of Thornaby was once the heart of Heavy Industry in the area along with housing for the workers. Over the past 20 years the heavy Industry has gone and been replaced with a University, Sixth Form College, Care Homes, Housing and numerous Call Centres and Office Complexes.
