The Victoria Recreation Ground was opened in 1909 and partly funded by Alderman Richardson and the Thornaby Municipal Council.

The rec`s the towns  smallest park and over recent years had an all weather floodlit football pitch which was vandalised and taken out. like the other parks it has  had a modern play area installed and now has its  grass cut on a regular cycle by CFYA
