The Horseshoe Bend on the River Tees (or the Holmes to use its proper name) is one of 3 Nature Reserves in Thornaby. In late 2011 it has been given a makeover with artworks and new seating put in place. A lovely tranquil area used by anglers and dog walkers along with walkers and photographers.
